Àger - Our Services
Winston is NOT an INSTRUCTOR and does not want to be.
Let’s make this clear. Paragliding and Hang Gliding like all other forms of aviation in that it has its inherent dangers, accidents arising from paragliding can be potentially very severe or even fatal. Wegofly will not be held responsible for your decision to fly. No claim is made or implied that all sources of potential danger to the pilot have or can be identified. No one should participate in paragliding who does not recognise and wish to personally assume the associated risks.
Fly guiding is provided by Winston as required and will enable you, the pilot, to spend quality flying hours in the excellent conditions. XC's are by part of the deal with prior planning. We also do SIV over water and PPG training. SIV courses are run with Jordi Marquillas, a competition pilot and member of the Catalan and Spanish national team. He likes to do acro, is a tandem, paramotor and SIV Instructor. He is a test Pilot of CEN norm for Aérotests, FFVL depending organization. Amazing!
Should you not get up and away, our expert retrieval service in our air conditioned van is always available to take you back to launch via a great tarmac road. After some epic flying we then end with a cold beer or glass of local wine or other beverage.
The main takeoff is huge and there are endless easy landing fields.
Àger has awesome XC potential. The Paragliding World Cup in June 2007 had many pilots doing 100km tasks.
Its possible to do 60km without leaving the valley!
Our sites are great for you to get back into the swing of things. They are breathtaking.
British Pilots who are Club Pilot (CP) rated and above
Pilots with lower experience levels might decide not to fly during the middle of the day, it can it be quite strong, but also hot! The flyable day usually goes on right until sunset so even if you opt to avoid the stronger stuff, you’ll still be able to clock-up the hours and get pretty much as much flying as you want.
We cater for all flying nationalities so don’t be shy! We would like to make this a really great holiday
for you. The best time of year in our valley is May to end of October.
Gordon Harris wrote the following about us:
Just an update on how the holiday went. We all had a fantastic time. You have probably already read Tonys report on how he nearly died because someone (me) was chatting to him when he was rigging up. He managed to land just 50 yards from the rest of us! The beginning of the week gave us good weather, and we all had a great time, even Tony smiled when he realised he had survived! While Tony was clenching his buttocks, I was sharing a thermal with 3 eagles. 1 of them wasn't looking were he was going and nearly flew into me. Unfortunatly the weather took a turn for the worst after that and we never managed to fly again. However, we went away with some great memories, some hilairius evenings in the local restaurants, a few too many headaches in the mornings, We have all decided we want to do it again next year.
We were looked after by a guy called Winston from www.wegofly.co.uk He normally tends to the whims of paragliders, however he is very keen to attract more hang gliders to the place. We were the first hang gliders he had ever met, I think he was surprised when he found we didn't have 3 eyes and legs made of steele, and that we actualy breathed oxygen, and our skin wasn't green! (well, it might have been a bit first thing in the mornings) He went to a lot of trouble and expence to cater for us, he had to buy roof bars ect for his van. I have to say, this man could not do enough for us. In the evenings, he and his partner, Amanda, drove us to the not so local restaurants, during the day, he would pick us up from the landing field and take us back to the top if we bombed out. Nothing was too much for him. On unflyable days, he would drive us about the
Pyrennes showing us the sights. He went far beyond the call of duty. Winston is keen to hear from other hang gliders, who may be interested in going to Ager. I will definatly be using his services again.
